djchainz_soundbox is easy-to-use flexible software designed for cueing sounds, samples and songs in a 39 channel mixer-like interface, optionally using a MIDI device for control. Channels are mapped to the keyboard and cueing can be done in six different playmodes; channels can be edited in volume, panning and pitch as well for complete control. The graphics and sound are based on DirectX 7 so versions of Windows from 98 onwards can run it (excluding NT). It is optimised and can quite easily run on even low-end laptops, and with customisable performance settings you can always make sure it does not take up too much CPU power. Usage

djchainz_soundbox could be used in any number of situations demanding sound and effects. Primarily optmised for djs and musicians, it can also be used to great effect in theatre, radio and for cueing jingles at funfairs. It requires only DirectX7 for its useful graphical interface and extra-low latency sound, so any version of Windows can run it from 98 onwards, and since it has a wide media support for wav, mp3, ogg, flac/fla, spx, aiff, and mod filetypes, it is versatile for all kinds of situations and audio content.

The software comes with a complete readme for every feature which can be read here online as well as from within the software.

The minimum system requirements are something like Windows 98+, DirectX7 and compatible graphics card, 128Mb of RAM, audio output and keyboard/mouse. The best way for you to tell is to download and run the demo, as it has the same minimum requirements. A MIDI device recognised with Windows should work with djchainz_soundbox.
