rss_bar shortcut bar freeware tool

The red spark studios shortcut bar is our favourite piece of freeware. Many shortcut bars these days take up screenspace, use up CPU power and do not work with older versions of windows. Not ours - it is an autohiding bar that can be placed on the left or right of the screen, and is really really tiny. It is available for free through our freeware and products download system. It runs in Windows 98,ME,2000 and XP and can be customised with your own icons and shortcuts, images, and various other features. It autohides, and so does not take up screen space. It only appears when you want it to, and can be altered so that it takes longer to appear. Here is a simple animation showing you how its auto-hiding works:

Drag and Dropping files onto the bar is also possible - you can drag files on top of icons to launch them with that application or drag them to the top or bottom sections to launch that file with its default program on your system.

The graphics used in the bar are lightweight and every icon is customisable. You can link to anything you want in the bar - files, applications, websites or even console commands! This shortcut bar is very versatile and easy to use.

It also includes an Integrated Google Search so you can search google really quickly, an integrated run box for quick commands and one-off access, as well as many other extra features as shown here.
