Thank you for using Spark Audio Converter, a freeware audio converter from red spark studios. The software is very intuitive and easy to use, but in case you need reference this guide exists to help you.
Well, since that is the main aim of spark audio converter, here's how to do it using the software's easy four-step process:
Selecting audio files can be done with the button, which opens an open dialog, or by dragging and dropping files on to the grid. With the dialog, multiple file selection is possible by dragging a box or holding shift or control whilst clicking files
The files will appear on the grid along with information about them.
This dialog is easy to use; you can select the destination format for the files and the bitrate (where applicable). Bitrate is the quality, but higher quality will of course mean a larger filesize. You cannot change the bitrate for WAV, FLAC and APE, because they are lossless, and therefore do not remove audio or degrade it.
Either press the button or Ctrl + S to start the conversion process of all the select audio files to the destination codec.
The conversion occurs and shows a bar that progresses for the conversion of the current file and of the total conversion. You also have the option of sending the conversion visualiser to mini-mode, where you can have a small window on screen whilst the audio is converted.
Mini-mode can be exited by clicking on the system tray icon that appears and selecting its option to return to fullsize.
The options screen can be accessed from the top menu under configure or by pressing the F5 key. This screen is currently for configuration of mini-mode.
The first checkbox enables mini-mode so that whenever a conversion is started the mini-mode is available, and the following settings depend upon mini-mode being configured on as well since they are related to it. The 'Always notify me...' means that you will receive automatic notification when the conversion process is completed, and the 'Automatically send application...' means that you do not need to click the button to send the conversion process to mini-mode.
The sound notifcation dialog allows you to select some sound clips (wav format only) you want playing when the conversion is complete; select the checkbox to turn the feature on then browse to the relevant sound files you want with the "..." button. The play button allows you to preview the sounds.
